In 2019, the brothers officially launched Noda Racing with four horses, including G. T. Sonia, who broke her maiden at the Spa. After winning consecutive claiming races and proving his ability to rehabilitate and improve horses, Orlando Noda successfully moved several of them up in class. One example is Danny California, a horse claimed by Noda Brothers for $25,000 who went on to win the Miner’s Mark Stakes. Another is Vintage Hollywood, who captured the Kingston Stakes after also being claimed for a low price by Noda Brothers. His standout horse T Loves a Fight brought him wide recognition by winning multiple races and placing second in stakes races.
In 2023, Orlando Noda was recognized as one of the leading trainers with zero fatalities among more than 400 starts—an achievement that underscores his unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of his horses
Orlando Noda, a 36-year-old horse trainer, born in Miami, Florida to Cuban parents, has quickly risen in the NYRA circuit with his small stable co-owned with his brother Jonathan Noda. Since debuting at Aqueduct in March 2019, Noda boasts an impressive 41% in the money percentage, consistently placing his horses among the top contenders.
Noda's passion for horse racing was inherited from his father, Jose Noda-Fernandez who was owner-trainer since 1991. Orlando and his brother began training and purchasing horses in New Jersey in 2012, racing in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Charles Town, under his father name.
